As part of Science Week, Class 21 visited the Hall in Site 2 and had the chance to meet some interesting creatures. First we met a 'skinny pig'; a kind of guinea pig but with no hair, which Mathew and Abhi enjoyed meeting. We then met two very friendly corn snakes, who seemed to take a liking to Kwajok and Robbie! Next up was a tortoise, which Nathan pointed out and liked the feel of his shell. Then there were two bearded dragon lizards, which liked Sameer so much they sat on his head!
The scary levels were cranked up when the tarantula arrived but to everyone's great relief she was very calm and friendly and Sinead, Kwajok and Sameer enjoyed holding her. And then it was time for the main attraction - a 12 foot Burmese Python called Summer who weighed 6 stone! Sinead and Teddy were really excited to meet her and everybody enjoyed having a hold.
