Over the next week, pupils will be attending special assemblies in school and learning about Harvest Festival, a celebration of food grown on the land. This is a very important time of year for us, as it gives us the opportunity to collect food and other items which will be donated to those who need it most.
This year, we have decided to donate our harvest collection to the Newcastle West End Foodbank in Benwell, who support and distribute to local families in need. Some of our staff and pupils will be delivering our collection on the afternoon of Thursday 21st October.
Over the next week, we will be collecting food (e.g. tinned foods, pasta, etc.) and hygiene items (e.g. shampoo, soaps, shower gels, etc.) for this cause, so if you are able to donate anything we would be most grateful if you could send items into school with your child. If you prefer, you may also bring items to any of the admin offices at each of our school sites.
Please contact the school if you have any questions or require any further information.
We thank you in anticipation of your kindness and generosity.
