There is a lot of information and guidance out there and understandably, we have had some questions about shielding now that Newcastle has moved into Tier 4. Here is the latest Government guidance on shielding which was updated today. It may be worth a read if you are unsure or want to know more about shielding. Anybody in the clinically extremely vulnerable (CEV) category would usually receive a letter advising them to shield. Children and young people who are not CEV but who live with someone who is CEV can still come to school as normal.
In all cases, we would recommend that you talk to your family GP if you are worried, concerned or think that you or your child may need to shield.
