We started the week looking at the diversity of people, and learnt that although we are different, we are all wonderful and unique in our own way. We also considered what life may be like for somebody with a physical disability and experienced this by playing blindfolded bowling. We couldn't believe how tricky this was but we were excellent at directing and guiding our friends.
On Tuesday we looked at diverse environments across the world. We Looked at a range of places across the globe and made our own fact file on the computer. We also enjoyed exploring different environments in the environments sensory trays.
'Diverse materials' was the focus of Wednesday and we enjoyed looking at a range of natural and man-made materials at forest school. We also visited the material tufftrays and explored a variety of materials. We were able to use wordmats to describe the properties of materials and had lots of fun!
Thursday was by far our favourite day of the week as this day was focused on 'diverse animals'. We had some crazy and wonderful visitors in school from Crazy Creatures North East. Class 23 loved handling the animals and treated all of our creature friends with care and compassion. In class, we learnt about animal classifications and described different animals using descriptive words. The photos we got from this day were absolutely brilliant, check them out at the bottom of this post!
